Mental illness has reshaped the life of my family forever, and I want to allow people to make a statement even if they aren't bold enough to speak on it yet. May 5, 2019 I lost my grandmother to murder by my own mother, who suffers with paranoid schizophrenia. It's a tragedy we will never forget. I'm encouraging everyone to speak up more about mental health in the black community.

 

So, even if you don't deal with any mental illness. Wear a tee to show a loved one that you're with them, and you truly believe that they're strong, and that black mental health matters as well!

No, we're not too strong to experience these things, but we're #StrongerThan a diagnosis. We conquer it daily (yep, even the tough days), and that's what makes us stronger.
